This privacy statement relates to the processing of personal data by TRUST IT via its website (www.trustit.eu) and for the services it offers to its customers.
TRUST IT is the controller for the processing of personal data within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), insofar as we determine the purpose and means of the processing, such as in the case of processing via this website. In the performance of our services in accordance with the instructions of our clients, we qualify as a processor and comply with the obligations that apply to us in that capacity.

TRUST IT handles personal data with great care. TRUST IT carefully complies with the relevant legislation in this area. We do this by working together with our legal partner to assess whether our services meet the correct requirements, both in terms of data security and compliance with data protection legislation. TRUST IT endorses the principles of the GDPR.
TRUST IT as processor
When we act in the capacity of a processor of personal data, we proactively offer our customers a data processing agreement, in which we, for example, address legislation regarding data breaches. We have a data breach protocol and closely monitor for any incidents.
Data we process from visitors to the website
TRUST IT naturally respects the privacy of visitors to our website and the services offered there. We only collect personal data that is necessary for displaying the website and the services offered on it.
For statistical purposes, TRUST IT uses Google Analytics. Google Analytics places analytical cookies to gain insight into the use of our website. The information collected, including the (anonymized) IP address, is processed by Google.

To measure the business use of our website, TRUST IT uses the HubSpot service from Amsterdam. This service recognizes business visitors based on IP addresses and links these to publicly available company data.

The legal bases on which we process your personal data
We base the processing of your personal data on various legal grounds. A large part of the personal data we process is necessary for the performance of our agreement with our clients (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). In addition, we process your personal data because it is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interest in informing you about our activities and making offers to you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Finally, in some situations we are obliged to process your personal data, for example your citizen service number (BSN) and a copy of your ID document, including when you enter employment with us.
In addition to processing your personal data for the above-mentioned legal bases, TRUST IT will only process your data for another purpose if you have given your consent.
Which data do we process?
We collect personal data that we need to provide our services. Part of this personal data is mandatory to enable the use of our services. In addition, we collect additional (personal) data that allows us to tailor our services to your specific qualities and wishes. You are responsible for the accuracy and relevance of the data you provide to us.

How long are collected personal data retained?
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a statutory retention period applies.
Data of the debtors of our clients and the data of our own debtors are retained for a maximum of seven years after payment of the last invoice, unless a different period is agreed with our client.
If you have applied for a vacancy at TRUST IT, your personal data will be deleted after you have requested this, or four weeks after the end of the application procedure, unless you have given TRUST IT permission to retain your personal data for one year after the end of the application procedure. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
How are collected personal data secured?
TRUST IT attaches great importance to your privacy. For this reason, we take various measures to prevent loss, theft, or unlawful use of your personal data. Where necessary, we use encrypted communication and secure connections. In addition, we take the necessary measures regarding physical and logical access security. We process the personal data to which we have access in the context of our services and not for any purpose other than as determined by our client.
If personal data is processed by parties outside the European Economic Area (EEA), TRUST IT will ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with the GDPR, for example by using Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or by processing in countries for which an adequacy decision applies.
The personal data to be processed remains the property of our clients and/or the data subjects concerned. Furthermore, we naturally treat personal data with the utmost confidentiality.
Sharing of personal data
We only share personal data with third parties when this is necessary for our services, legally required, or with the consent of the data subject.
Can I submit a request to access, correct, or delete my personal data collected by TRUST IT?
It is possible to submit a request for access, deletion, or correction of the personal data collected about you by TRUST IT via its Website. You can do this by sending an email to privacy@tkb.nl. Following this request, you can ask TRUST IT to correct or delete your personal data. If you believe that we do not handle your personal data with due care, you can contact us using the contact details above. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Changes
TRUST IT reserves the right to amend this privacy statement. The most current version will be published on the website. TRUST IT therefore advises users to regularly check this page to see whether any changes have been made. The current Privacy Statement was updated in March 2026.
